Honoring Our Founder
Reneé Amoore was a one-of-a-kind visionary who left behind a legacy of strength, empowerment, and community. She was a healthcare advocate and community leader who founded Ramsey Educational Development Institute (REDI) in her family’s honor, with a mission to support children and families. A registered nurse with advanced degrees from Antioch College and Antioch University, she dedicated her career to expanding access to high-quality, family-centered care.
The Visionary
Milestones
- In 1999, Reneé founded REDI to provide essential early intervention services for infants and toddlers and career preparation for adults. Throughout the 2000s, the agency grew by building strong local partnerships and focusing on the needs of families and underserved communities. Today, REDI continues its mission to empower children and strengthen neighborhoods across southeastern Pennsylvania.
Timeline
- 1999 - Reneé Amoore establishes REDI with two divisions, Children and Family services and Employment and Training Services. 2000’s - Growth is fueled through expanded family services and regional partnerships, including Beacon afterschool programming, GED instruction, and life skills training. Today - REDI honors the founder's vision through dedicated early intervention and community-focused support programs that empower families and nurture futures.

Reneé’s legacy lives on in REDI’s daily work - investing in children, supporting families, and strengthening communities so every child can reach their full potential.
